The Secret to Genius-Level Intelligence: A Simple Daily Habit

Ever heard someone say that? I certainly have. And although it’s just a silly old saying that we all laugh about, most people believe it’s the truth. I know, this was perhaps a silly way to start a newsletter, but hey… I got your attention, didn’t I?

If you haven’t guessed it yet, the subject for today’s newsletter is how to actually fix stupid. Or better said, how to raise your IQ and sharpen your mind to become an elite weapon. We all want this, but most people have been led to believe that your intelligence is fixed and you either have it or you don’t. I’m here to bust that myth for you. Not only have I personally done this, but there is a substantial amount of evidence that has grown over the past decade that agrees with me. The crazy thing is that people aren’t talking about it more!

Can You Actually Improve Your Intelligence?

So let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way first. Is it actually possible to increase your IQ and improve your critical thinking skills?

Short answer: Absolutely.

Long answer: I’m so glad you asked!

As I was just mentioning, we have a substantial amount of evidence proving that the IQ of an adult human is indeed fluid, meaning it can be improved. I’ll give you some examples. A study done with 4,000 Venezuelan students showed that after four months of training playing chess, their IQs showed substantial improvement. Another study was done that measured the IQ of students before they entered medical school (they were found to be slightly above average as expected). Once they graduated medical school four years later, they measured their IQ again. This time it showed that many of the students had crossed the genius level of intelligence.

These studies are pretty amazing in my opinion, and they aren’t the only ones! Hopefully, you have a pretty good idea now that you can, in fact, increase your intelligence.

Should I spend Time On Improving My Brain?

The next question you may have is, “Why would I want to do this?” To this, I say: Imagine how profoundly different your life would be if your critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills were drastically improved. I mean, heck, imagine how different your life would be if they were even marginally improved! I can tell you from personal experience it is a profound difference! Training my brain to work smarter, faster, and sharper has brought me so much success, happiness, and confidence I can’t even begin to describe it.

How Do You Train Your Brain?

So now I assume I’ve got you hooked. Surely I’ve piqued your curiosity enough for you to be thinking… ok… how do I do this.

Thankfully, I’m not going to ask you to become a chess grandmaster (although that would be pretty cool). I am, however, going to recommend a simple brain training exercise. This isn’t just any plain ole marketing scam of a brain trainer. This is the only real, evidence-based brain training program you can do. The game is called Dual-n-Back. It’s a weird name, I know. I didn’t come up with it, so don’t blame me.

I don’t want to get into the details of how the game works exactly because that would be a waste of my words here. I do want to leave you with a plan, though. You can get free versions of this game on the app store on your phone or find them on google. If you’re curious, I use a much more comprehensive system that is studied to give stronger benefits, although any DnB game will yield results. You should aim to train with it around five days a week for 15-20 minutes a day. I feel like that’s pretty reasonable.

This is by far the easiest way to consistently increase your IQ and sharpen your brain. You can only imagine the benefits that come with this. Surely that’s worth fifteen minutes of your day.
